Vanessa is a creative and strategic brand marketing leader with over 20 years of proven success designing and executing campaigns and experiences that ignite engagement, build loyalty, and create lasting cultural impact. She has launched marketing functions at startups, built and scaled high-performing teams, and led global strategies for brands across hospitality, lifestyle, and technology.
At Resy/American Express, she founded the experiential function, creating iconic programs like Resy Drive Thru, Women of Food, and Classics Remix. Her work earned AdWeek’s Experiential Brand of the Year, Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies, and multiple BizBash Awards. She also led talent strategy, collaborating with world-class chefs, creators, and cultural figures to deliver unforgettable experiences.
Most recently, Vanessa built the marketing org at Blackbird, helping launch one of the most successful consumer crypto applications. She developed the brand identity, community and experiential strategy, and content engine, while driving comms and thought leadership that bridged hospitality with emerging tech.
Earlier in her career, she rebranded and modernized marketing at the National YoungArts Foundation, tripled event revenue, and launched a national day of awareness for emerging artists. At the agency level, she led integrated campaigns for top global brands like Grey Goose, Chanel, W Hotels, Marriott, and Conde Nast—doubling revenue and team size at Harrison & Shriftman's Miami office in under three years.
